Barbara Ann Crews Solomon

Barbara Ann Crews Solomon, 60, of 3 Myrtle St. died Sunday evening at North Adams Regional Hospital. Born in North Adams on Feb. 20, 1943, daughter of Maria Miles Duprea MacDonald of the state of Florida and the late Francis Duprea, she graduated from Drury High School and later from the medical secretary postgraduate program at McCann Technical School. Mrs. Solomon was employed at McDonald’s. She also had worked at the Red Carpet Restaurant, General Dynamics in Pittsfield and Williamstown Medical Associates in Williamstown. She enjoyed reading, watching old movies, gardening, crafts, and spending time with her family. Besides her mother, she leaves two sons, Alan Solomon, with whom she resided, and Jason Crews of Adams; three sisters, Deb Mattin of New Hampshire, Lisa Jackson of the state of Florida and Hilda Payne of Alaska, and four grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Barbara Ann Crews Solomon died Sunday, Aug. 3, 2003. The funeral will be conducted Friday at 10:30 at AUGE-PACIOREK-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams. Burial will be at a later date. Calling hours will be Friday morning from 9:30 until 10:15. Memorial donations may be made to the Berkshire Medical Center Renal Dialysis Unit in Pittsfield through the funeral home. She was predeceased by a brother, Robert Duprea. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.
