Lillian Lord Kent

Lillian Lord Kent, 95, formerly of 75 Commercial St., died Saturday afternoon at Sweet Brook Care Centers in Williamstown. Born in North Adams on April 18, 1908, daughter of Julius and Agnes Robare Duquette, she attended local schools. A homemaker, Mrs. Kent had worked for several years at the former Adams Laundry, now Aladco. She retired in 1975. She was a communicant of the Parish of Notre Dame-St. Thomasâ€™. Her first husband, Peter Lord, whom she married July 6, 1925, died March 12, 1964. Her husband, William Kent, whom she married July 26, 1975, died Sept. 26, 1987. She leaves four sons, Edward Lord of Vallejo, Calif., James Lord of Fremont, Calif., and Bernard Lord and Robert Lord, both of Adams; a daughter, Eleanor Solis of Acampo, Calif.; 17 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Lillian Kent, who died Aug. 16, 2003, will be Wednesday, Aug. 20, at 9 at TROTTIER-PRINGLE FUNERAL HOME, 6 Summer St., Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 in Notre Dame Church, Adams. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery. Calling hours will be tomorrow, Aug. 19, from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donorâ€™s choice through the funeral home. She was predeceased by a brother, Robert Duquette, and a sister, Frances Walden.
