Joan A. Krezel

Joan A. Krezel, 75, of 18 Morningside Ave. died Sunday evening at the home of her sister, Jean S. Bryce of Stamford, Vt., who was also her caregiver. Death followed a long battle with cancer. Born in Adams on Aug. 24, 1927, daughter of Robert C. Scully Sr. and Anna Schmitt Scully, she was a 1945 graduate of the former Adams High School. Mrs. Krezel was employed by the former Arnold Print Works as a scheduler. She was a communicant of the Parish of Notre Dame/ St. Thomas/ St. Stanislaus. She was a member of the Golden Varsity of the Adams School System, stationed with C.T. Plunkett Elementary School. She enjoyed gardening. Her husband, Andrew J. Krezel, whom she married April 1, 1950, died April 21, 1984. Besides her sister, she leaves a brother, Lt. Col. Robert C. Scully Jr. of Gilbert, Ariz. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Joan Krezel will be Thursday at 9:15 at MCBRIDE FUNERAL HOME. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will follow at 10 in St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Calling hours will be Thursday from 8 until the prayer service. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery. The family suggests memorial donations to Hospice/VNA of Northern Berkshire at 135 Curran Highway, North Adams, MA 01247, or through the funeral home. She also leaves two nephews, Thomas E. Kustra of Adams and Robert C. Scully IIIof Sierra Vista, Ariz.
