Anne Bernadette Tracy

Anne Bernadette Tracy, 69, of 30 Glassworks Road, Berkshire, died yesterday morning at Berkshire Medical Center. She had been a resident of Berkshire Village for the past 50 years, prior to which she had lived in Pittsfield. Born in Pittsfield on Jan. 10, 1934, daughter of Reginald and Katharine O’Connor Irwin, she attended Pittsfield schools. At the time of her death, Mrs. Tracy was an employee of Paul Rich & Sons and the family for the past 17 years. Prior to that, she had been employed by Ames Department Store and as head cashier at the former Hills Department Store. She was a communicant of North American Martyrs Church. She enjoyed gardening and reading. Her husband, Preston C. Tracy Sr., died Jan. 18, 1993. She leaves four sons, Preston C. Tracy Jr., Christopher Tracy and Timothy Tracy, all of Pittsfield, Jeffrey Tracy of Lanesboro; a daughter, Rebecca Keyes of Cheshire; two sisters, Mary Jane DiLego of Berkshire and Catherine Best of Southboro; seven grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Funeral services for Anne Bernadette Tracy, who died Thursday, Aug. 28, will be held Saturday, Aug. 30, at 9 from DERY FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at North American Martyrs Church, celebrated by the Rev. David Raymond, pastor. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be today from 5 to 8 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Lanesboro Volunteer Fire Department Ambulance in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield. At the time of her death, Mrs. Tracy was a dedicated and valued employee of Paul Rich & Sons and the family for the past 17 years. She was predeceased by two grandchildren, Jordan Tracy and Paul Tracy.
