April Beattie Farrell

April Beattie Farrell, 26, of 12 Chestnut St., Westfield, died Friday of an aneurism at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. She was a volunteer at the senior center in Lee, where she played cards with the residents. Born in Springfield on April 28, 1977, daughter of Daniel M. and Virginia Beattie Farrell, she graduated from White Oaks School in Springfield, which is now in Westfield, and attended Holyoke Community College. She and her mother were partners in an antiques business and she worked on the front desk for the “Antiques Road Show” television program, which was founded by her parents. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Westfield and liked to travel and shop. Besides her parents, with whom she lived, she leaves two sisters, Katherine Farrell of New York City and Sarah Vella of San Rafael, Calif., and her paternal grandmother, Helen Farrell of Westfield. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral and visiting hours for April Farrell will be private. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Survivors include her great-aunt, Lillian Vecchio of Westfield; her great-uncle, Ralph Vecchio of Southwick, and her beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and innumerable dear friends.
