Kathleen Ann Carpinello

Kathleen Ann Carpinello, 54, of 146 Charlene St. died yesterday morning at home. Born in North Adams on June 1, 1949, daughter of Rita Daigneault McLear of Adams and the late James W. McLear, she attended elementary school in Adams and graduated from Drury High School. Ms. Carpinello worked in the buildings and grounds department at Williams College in Williamstown for more than 20 years. She retired in April because of ill health. Ms. Carpinello had previously worked at the former Widen Tannery. She attended the Parish of Notre Dame-St. Thomas' in Adams and was a member of Dr. George L. Curran Post 996 VFW Auxiliary and the North Adams Lodge of Elks. Besides her mother, she leaves a daughter, Wendy Zieba of Adams; a stepson, John Carpinello of North Adams; two sisters, Jo-Ann Irace of Stamford, Vt., and Susan Senecal of North Adams; a granddaughter, and two stepgrandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Kathleen Ann Carpinello will be Wednesday at 9:15 at Auge-Paciorek-Simmons Funeral Home, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Adams, by the Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, pastor of the Parishes of Notre Dame-St. Thomas Aquinas and St. Stanislaus Kostka. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours will be tomorrow, Sept. 23, from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society through the funeral home. Ms. Carpinello also leaves a son-in-law, Robert Zieba; a stepdaughter-in-law, Diane Carpinello; a brother-in-law, Louis Irace; a granddaughter, Krystal Zieba of Adams; two stepgrandchildren, Jessica and Michael Carpinello of North Adams, and three nephews, James Irace of Stamford, and Scott and Shawn Senecal, both of North Adams.
