Gerald P. Bedard

Gerald P. Bedard, 80, of 110 Cherry St., Holyoke, formerly of Adams died Saturday at the Soldiers' Home in Holyoke. Born in Adams on Dec. 21, 1922, son of Joseph P. and Almina Sauve Bedard, he was a 1941 graduate of the former Adams Memorial High School. He moved to Holyoke in 1960. An Army veteran of World War II, he served in the European theater with the Corps of Engineers until his honorable discharge. A carpenter, Mr. Bedard was employed with a cabinet company in Northampton for 20 years, retiring in 1980. He first worked with his father, also a carpenter, in Adams. While in Adams, he was a communicant of the Parish of Notre Dame-St. Thomas. He leaves a brother, Norbert Bedard of Adams, and a sister, Marcella Robidoux of Adams. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services and burial for Gerald P. Bedard, who died Sept. 27, 2003, will be announced at a later date. There will be no calling hours. He leaves several nieces and nephews. Three brothers, Raymond, Leonard and Wilmur Bedard, and a sister, Geraldine Bourdon, are deceased. TROTTIER-PRINGLE FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements.
