Arthur K. Moon

Arthur K. Moon, 83, of 866 East Washington Road died at his home yesterday. Born in Pittsfield on Aug. 3, 1920, son of Hubert K. and Ruth Chase Moon, he was educated in the Pittsfield school system. He was road superintendent for the town of Hinsdale for 15 1/2 years. He was also a dairy farmer in New Ashford and Hinsdale for many years. He leaves his wife, the fomer Fay Sherman, whom he married on Feb. 12, 1944; three daughters, Norma Hubbard of Hillsboro, N.H., Jennifer Scace of Fisher's Island, N.Y., and Cerie Moon of Hinsdale; two sons, Mark Moon of Thaxton, Va., and Joel Moon of Hinsdale, and 12 grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Arthur K. Moon will be on Monday at 11 at the BARTLETT-WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME in Dalton, with the Rev. Constance Morrison officiating. Following cremation, burial will be in the Maple Street Cemetery in Hinsdale. Calling hours at the funeral home will be on Monday from 10 to 11. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory are suggested to the Jimmy Fund in care of the funeral home, 525 Main St., Dalton, MA 01226. Mr. Moon was predeceased by a granddaughter, Holly J. Scace.
