Ruth Ellen LeMay

Ruth Ellen LeMay, 73, died yesterday at North Adams Commons, following a long illness. Born in Adams on March 2, 1930, daughter of Irving and Violet Tattersall LeMay, she attended local schools. She also had resided in Northampton and Pittsfield until moving to North Adams in 2002. She leaves two sisters, Mildred LeMay of Phoenix and Alice Cooper of North Carolina, and a brother, Thomas LeMay of Albany, N.Y. She also leaves her guardian, Kimberly St. Pierre of North Adams. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Graveside committal services and burial for Ruth E. LeMay, who died Oct. 18, 2003, will be conducted Wednesday, Oct. 22, at 11 at the family plot in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested for the North Adams Commons Activities Fund through the FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, MA 01247, which is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include nephews and nieces, including her guardian, Kimberly St. Pierre of North Adams. She was predeceased by a brother, Robert LeMay, in April 1999.
