Stephania "Sally" Vander Bogart

Stephania "Sally" Vander Bogart, 88, of 31 Valley St. died Monday afternoon at Williamstown Commons, where she had resided since Oct. 17. Born in Adams on April 18, 1915, daughter of Peter and Victoria Janiga Sworzen, she attended Adams schools. Mrs. Vander Bogart worked for many years at the former Berkshire Fine Spinning Associates and later as a domestic for the late Dr. Samuel Dworkin. She was a communicant of the Parish of Notre Dame-St. Thomas. Her husband, Leo F. Vander Bogart, whom she married Aug. 19, 1939, died June 30, 1992. She leaves nieces and nephews. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Stephania "Sally" Vander Bogart, who died Nov. 17, 2003, will be Thursday at 9:30 at AUGE-PACIOREK-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Adams, by the Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, pastor of the parishes of Notre Dame-St. Thomas Aquinas and St. Stanislaus Kostka. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours will be Thursday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Parish of Notre Dame-St. Thomas Aquinas through the funeral home. Predeceased by three brothers, Stanley, Theodore and Frank Sworzen, and a sister, Mrs. Adella Vander Bogart.
