Adela Ciolkos

Adela Ciolkos, 90, of 48 Friend St. died early yesterday morning at Williamstown Commons. Born in Adams on Dec. 28, 1912, daughter of Walter and Catherine Twardowski Zagorski, she attended local schools. Mrs. Ciolkos was employed by the former Greylock Mountain Industries in North Adams, retiring in 1978. Earlier, she had worked at the former Berkshire Fine Spinning Associates and Adams Laundry Co., the former Strong-Hewat Mill in Clarksburg and the former Hunter Outdoor Products Co. in North Adams. She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church and a former member of the Adams Senior Citizens. Her husband, Zigmund Ciolkos, died Oct. 28, 1971. She leaves a daughter, Sally Ciolkosz, with whom she had made her home. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Adela Ciolkos, who died Nov. 22, 2003, will be Tuesday, Nov. 25, at 11 from AUGE-PACIOREK-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at noon in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. She was predeceased by a brother, Sylvester Zagorski, and a sister, Sophie Degesie. She also leaves four nieces.
