Ruth G. Warren

Ruth G. Warren, 82, of 17 Imperial St. died Tuesday at home. Born in Pittsfield on March 26, 1921, daughter of Arno and Isabella MacWhinnie Lehmann, she was a 1939 graduate of Pittsfield High School. Mrs. Warren was a member of First Church of Christ Scientist in Pittsfield. She enjoyed doing needlepoint. Her husband, Kenneth "Bill" Warren, whom she married July 19, 1939, died June 25, 1991. She leaves a son, Paul K. Warren Sr. of Pittsfield; a daughter, Sylvia Medeiros of Castro Valley, Calif.; four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Mrs. Ruth G. Warren will be held Friday at 2 at WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME, with Mrs. Elaine Swaffar, former first reader of First Church of Christ Scientist. Calling hours will be from noon to 2 Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Pittsfield Cemetery. Among survivors are her daughter-in-law, Ilene Warren; a son-in-law, Jason Medeiros; a grandson, Paul Warren Jr.; three granddaughters, Pamela Codey, Kristi Vale-Cruz and Allison Cook, and four great-granddaughters, Chloe and Talia Warren and Keira and Jenna Codey. She had a great love of children and was affectionately called Aunt Ruth; therefore donations are suggested for any local fund that benefits children.
