Anthony Charles Liporace

Anthony Charles Liporace, 71, of 265 Reservoir Road died Wednesday, Dec. 24, at the University of Massachusetts Medical Health Center in Worcester, where he was admitted on Dec. 3. Born in Hoosick Falls, N.Y., on July 11, 1932, son of Charles and Exhilda Valle Liporace, he attended St. Mary's Parochial School and graduated from Hoosick Falls High School in 1950. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War and served with the USS Albany in Europe from 1952 to 1956. He was honorably discharged. He was a tool and die maker with the Reynolds Tool & Die Corp. in Hoosick Falls for more than 25 years, until his retirement in 1994. He was a communicant of St. Francis' Church and a member of the Frank R. Stiles Post 125 American Legion. He leaves his wife of 48 years, the former Sylvia E. Duperault, whom he married on June 11, 1955, in Notre Dame Church. He also leaves two daughters, Deborah Crandall of Worcester and MaryJane Jachimczyk of Millbury; two sons, Mark A. Liporace of Stamford, Vt., and Anthony C. Liporace Jr. of Clarksburg, and five grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Funeral services for Anthony C. Liporace will take place Monday, Dec. 29, 2003, at 10:15 at the FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 at St. Francis' Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are Sunday, Dec. 28, from 4 to 8. Flowers may be sent or memorial donations are suggested for the Southwestern Vermont Medical Health Center of Bennington, Vt., through the funeral home. Survivors include five grandchildren, Jamie Liporace of North Adams, Angela and Joseph Liporace of Clarksburg and Michael and Matthew Jachimczyk of Millbury. He was predeceased by a brother, Richard Liporace, who died in March.
