Edward William Marazzi

Edward William Marazzi, 84, of 85 Eagle St. died yesterday at Williamstown Commons. Where he was admitted Sept. 17, 2002. He was a former 20-year resident of 210 Cole Ave. in Williamstown. Born in Roxbury on Feb. 8, 1919, son of William Marazzi and Josephine Mazzechelli Marazzi Valli, he was raised from an early age by his stepfather, John Valli. He attended schools in Roxbury. A chef, Mr. Marazzi worked at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel and at the Copley Club, both in Boston. He moved to Williamstown in 1950 and was employed as a chef at the 1896 House Restaurant until his retirement in 1985. He enjoyed carpentry work. He and his wife, the former Madeline E. Boomer, were married Sept. 28, 1943. She died Sept. 17, 2002. He leaves two daughters, Cheryl Marazzi and Linda Kemp, both of North Adams; five grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Edward W. Marazzi will be private. There will be no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, MA 01247, which is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include a son-in-law, Randy Kemp; five grandchildren, Kelley Cellana of Clarksburg; Traci Luczynski and Dori Wolfe of North Adams; Wayne Morin of Great Falls, Mont., and Eric Wolfe of the state of Oregon; two grandsons-in-law, John Cellana and Daniel Luczynski; nine great-grandchildren; a niece, and a nephew. Two brothers, Walter and Reno Marazzi, are deceased.
