Wanda Jane Skrocki

Wanda Jane Skrocki, 82, of Center Street, North Walpole, N.H., a native of Windsor, died Sunday at home. She was a former town clerk and treasurer of Windsor. Born on May 24, 1921, daughter of Stanley and Rozalia Pisiewski Iwanowicz, she attended school in Windsor and graduated from the former Dalton High School. She moved to North Walpole in 1987. Mrs. Skrocki was employed as a bookkeeper at Amherst Nursing Home and at the former Collins Veterinary Hospital in Pittsfield. She also had owned and operated Green Mountain Produce in Westminster, Vt., and Woodward Florist in Walpole, N.H., with her sons. She and her husband, Raymond W. Skrocki, had operated a dairy farm in Windsor until the late 1960s. She was a communicant of St. Peter's Church in North Walpole. Her husband, whom she married in 1941, died March 14, 2002. She leaves four sons, R. Edward Skrocki and Frank Skrocki, both of Charlestown, N.H., Michael Skrocki of North Walpole and Richard Skrocki of Bellows Falls, Vt.; a sister, Stella Gwozdz of Adams; 12 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. Another son, Robert C. Skrocki, is deceased. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A memorial Mass for Wanda Jane Skrocki, who died Dec. 28, 2003, will be held at a date to be announced in the spring at St. Peter's Church in North Walpole. Burial will follow in Westminster (Vt.) Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 13 Loomis St., Montpelier, VT 05602. Survivors also include numerous nieces and nephews. FENTON & HENNESSEY FUNERAL HOME, Bellows Falls, Vt., is in charge of arrangements.
