G. Larry Davis

G. Larry Davis, 68, of 1185 Boylston St., Boston, formerly of Lee, died Wednesday at Mount Auburn Hospital in Boston. Born in Albany, Vt., on April 16, 1935, son of George and Florence Taylor Davis, he moved with his family to Lee in 1940 and was a 1953 graduate of Lee High School. He graduated from the University of Massachusetts in 1957 and earned a master's in chemistry in 1959 from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. He taught at Norwalk Community College in Norwalk, Conn., for 38 years, retiring in 1997. He moved to Boston, where he taught chemistry at Harvard University until becoming ill last spring. An avid Red Sox fan, he traveled to ballparks throughout the country to watch them play. He leaves two sisters, Sandra A. Brighenti of Portsmouth, N.H., and Carolyn E. Turner of Whiting, N.J., and his companion of 43 years, Peter Constandy of Boston. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for G. Larry Davis will be Monday at 1 at the KELLY FUNERAL HOME in Lee. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Friends wishing may make donations to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home, 3 Main St., Lee, MA 01238. He also leaves several nieces and nephews.
