Natalie Elizabeth Stoddard

Natalie Elizabeth Stoddard, 93, a longtime resident of Prospect Lane, North Egremont, died Monday at Timberlyn Heights Nursing Home in Great Barrington, where she had resided for several years. Born in Ghent, N.Y., on Oct. 30, 1910, daughter of William and Florence Moore Siter, she attended schools there. She earned a bachelor of fine arts degree in fashion illustration from the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn N.Y. She had lived in North Egremont for most of her life. She had worked as a fashion illustrator, greeting card illustrator, and art teacher. She was also a homemaker. She enjoyed painting in watercolors and oils. Her husband of 54 years, John Parker Stoddard, died in 1988. She leaves a son, Richard Stoddard of Estero, Fla., a daughter, Fay F. Wood, six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Natalie Elizabeth Stoddard died Jan. 19, 2004. Funeral services will be private.
