Irene Eleanor Nuttelman, 83, of 4 Columbia St. died Saturday afternoon at North Adams Regional Hospital. Born in Northampton on March 21, 1920, daughter of Louis and Margaret Werzal Richter, she attended schools there. She moved to Adams in 1982. A homemaker, Mrs. Nuttelman had worked for the War Department in Washington prior to her marriage. In her younger years, she was active in the Girl Scouts and was a life member. Her husband, Leroy S. Nuttelman, whom she married Aug. 7, 1943, died Dec. 24, 1988. She leaves three daughters, Nancy Bohley of Orlando, Fla., Jean Keller of Adams and Linda Holden of East Haven, Vt.; a brother, Owen Richter of Northampton; a sister, Joyce LaFlamme of Northampton; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, and three step-great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Private services for Irene Nuttelman will be conducted Wednesday, Jan. 28, at 11 at AUGÃ‰-PACIOREK-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St. The Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, pastor of the Parishes of Notre Dame-St. Thomas Aquinas and St. Stanislaus Kostka, will officiate. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made to the Adams Council on Aging through the funeral home.
