P. Jeannette Kasson

P. Jeannette Kasson, 90, of Christian Hill Road, Glendale, died early yesterday morning at Fairview Hospital in Great Barrington. Born in Lowell on June 10, 1913, daughter of Edgar and Pearl C. Hunter DeHart, the family moved to Glendale shortly after she was born. She was a 1931 graduate of the former Williams High School. Primarily a homemaker, Mrs. Kasson had worked as a tour guide at Hawthorne House for three summers. She was a member of First Congregational Church, and of its choir and Ladies' Service League. She also played in the hand bell choir, and worked on church fairs and rummage sales. She was a member of the Tuesday Club and the Ladies' Auxiliary of Glendale. Her husband, Albert L. Kasson, whom she married Aug. 25, 1936, died Oct. 20, 1972. She leaves a daughter, Linda Guerrero of Great Barrington, three grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for P. Jeannette Kasson of Glendale, who died April 28, 2004, will be conducted Monday, May 3, at 11 at First Congregational Church in Stockbridge by the Rev. Steven Bridges, pastor. Burial will follow in Stockbridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, May 2, from 4 to 7 at FINNERTY & STEVENS FUNERAL HOME, Great Barrington. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lee Visiting Nurse Association, Elder Services of Berkshire County or to Timberlyn Heights Nursing Home's Residents Activities Fund through the funeral home, 426 Main St., Great Barrington, MA 01230.
