Monica Anne Charron

Monica Anne Charron, 18, of 6987 Main St. died Saturday at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, Mass., where she was admitted Friday after a brief illness. Born in Brattleboro on Sept. 8, 1985, daughter of Robert Mitchel and Darlene Swanson Charron, she attended Gabriel Abbott Memorial School in Florida, Mass., and Readsboro Elementary School and was a senior in the culinary arts program at Charles H. McCann Technical Vocational High School in North Adams, Mass. She was an honor roll student and received a faculty award for excellence in math her junior year. She volunteered at school and at community events. Miss Charron was an active member of First Baptist Church and of its choir and a former member of Florida Baptist Church. She was a member of the 4-H club and the Girl Scouts in Readsboro and volunteered at Readsboro Library. She worked part time as a cashier at Shaw's Super Market in Wil-mington. She enjoyed animals and drawing. She decided to become an organ donor after suffering a hemorrhage several months ago. Besides her parents, of Readsboro, she leaves her maternal grandmother, Dawn Bressette Swanson of Bushnell, Fla. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Monica Anne Charron will be conducted Thursday, May 6, 2004 at 11 at First Baptist Church of North Adams by the Rev. John Brigham, pastor of First Baptist Church of Readsboro, Vt., and the Rev. Irving Mullette, pastor of Florida Baptist Church in Florida, Mass. Burial will be at a later date. Calling hours at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, will be tomorrow, May 5, from 4 to 8. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested for First Baptist Church of Readsboro through the funeral home. Monica had a beautiful singing voice and enjoyed singing religious songs and country music. Survivors include many aunts, uncles and cousins.
