Gertrude A. Carrington

Gertrude A. Carrington, 82, formerly of Marble Street, died Saturday at Hillcrest Commons in Pittsfield, where she had resided since November 2000. Born in East Lee on May 27, 1922, daughter of Luther and Nora Gibbons Jones, she was a graduate of St. Mary's Parochial School and attended Lee High School. Mrs. Carrington was employed as a custodian at Stockbridge Plain School, retiring in 1995. She also had worked for many years as a cashier at the former First National Store. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A graveside service for Gertrude A. Carrington, who died May 29, 2004, will be held tomorrow, June 3, at 11:30 in St. Mary's Cemetery. KELLY FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements.
