Blanche Hedwig Kaczka

Blanche Hedwig Kaczka, 83, of 15 Mill St. died early yesterday morning at Williamstown Commons, where she had resided since December 2000. Born in Adams on April 30, 1921, daughter of Peter and Jadwiga Cynar Juras, she attended Adams schools. Mrs. Kaczka worked in the ordnance division of General Electric Co. in Pittsfield for 20 years, retiring in 1982. She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church. She was a member of the St. Stanislaus Rosary Sodality and the Adams Senior Citizens. Her husband, Emil "Sam" Kaczka, whom she married on May 8, 1943, died on April 22, 1994. She leaves a son, Emil Kaczka Jr. of Enfield, Conn.; two daughters, Beverly Wooster of Adams and Patricia Augé of Milford, N.H.; a sister, Monica Major of Stoneham; five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral will be held Saturday, June 5, at 10:30 from AUGE-PACIOREK-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, celebrated by the Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, pastor of the Parishes of St. Stanislaus Kostka, Notre Dame and St. Thomas Aquinas, Adams. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours are Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 at the funeral home. Members of the St. Stanislaus Rosary Sodality will meet at St. Stanislaus' Church at 10:45 for the funeral. Memorial donations may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation or to the Alzheimer's Association through the funeral home. She was predeceased by two brothers, Walter and Matthew Juras.
