Ann Elizabeth Spurr, 55, of Jug End Road died Wednesday evening at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield following a brief illness. Born in Great Barrington on March 28, 1949, daughter of Preston L. Tinker Sr. and Margaret Colwell Tinker, she was a 1967 graduate of the former Searles High School. At the time of her death, she was an office manager at E. Caligari and Sons in Great Barrington. She was also a longtime employee of KB Toys. Mrs. Spurr was a member of the First Congregational Church in South Egremont. She and her husband, Robert Spurr Sr., were married Aug. 3, 1968, in Great Barrington. Besides her husband, she leaves a son, Robert Spurr Jr. of Avon; a daughter, Susan Elizabeth Egan of Plainville, N.Y.; a brother, Preston L. Tinker Jr. of Sheffield; two sisters, Phyllis T. Weaver of Stockbridge and Sarah T. Schneider of Egremont, and a grandson. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Ann Elizabeth Spurr will be Sunday, June 13, 2004, at 1 at the First Congregational Church in Egremont with the Rev. Kevin Smail, officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery in Egremont. The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 12, from 4 to 7 at the FINNERTY & STEVENS FUNERAL HOME. She also leaves her grandson, Connor Robert Spurr; daughter-in-law, Kerri; son-in-law, Robert Egan; sister-in-law, Barbara Tinker, and brothers-in-law, Doug Weaver and Donnie Schneider.
