Mark William Ludwig

Mark William Ludwig, 39, of 12025 Cherie Drive, Austin, Texas, died Sunday night in a motor vehicle accident in Austin. He was the brother of Michael A. Ludwig of Adams. Born in Mount Kisco, N.Y., on Aug. 25, 1964, son of Frank and Patricia Fahl Ludwig, he attended Vermont schools, graduating from Green Mountain Union High School in Chester in 1982. He resided in Berkshire County before moving to Texas in 1998. Mr. Ludwig was senior manager for software products at Polycom Inc. in Austin. He had worked at Pete's Chrysler in Pittsfield for several years, and at his brother's Ground Round restaurant in Hadley. He was a member of the board of directors of the International Multimedia Telecommunications Consortium. He enjoyed golfing, boating and traveling. Besides his brother, he leaves another brother, Jeffrey R. Ludwig of Saranac, N.Y., and a sister, Laurie A. Ludwig of Gilmanton Iron Works, N.H. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Mark W. Ludwig, who died June 27, 2004, will be Friday, July 2, at 9 at AUGE-PACIOREK-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St. Adams, MA 01220, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 at St. Raphael's Church, Cole Avenue, Williamstown, by the Rev. Mark Burke, SJ, pastor of the Parish of St. Patrick & St. Raphael. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery, Williamstown. Calling hours will be Thursday from 5 to 7 at the funeral home. A memorial service will be held in Austin, Texas, at a date to be announced. Memorial donations may be made to the Mark William Ludwig Memorial Fund through the funeral home. He enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and co-workers. He leaves his sisters-in-law, Linda of Adams and Jeanne of Saranac, and his nieces and nephews, Katelyn E. Ludwig, Stephanie M. Ludwig and Michael A. Ludwig, all of Adams, and Jeffrey E. Ludwig and Gregory G. Ludwig, both of Saranac.
