Clara M. Wilk, 93, of 7 Siara St. died Saturday evening at home. Born in North Adams on Jan. 1, 1911, daughter of Arsene and Vitaline Breault Guerin, her family moved to Adams when she was 5 and she attended Adams schools. Mrs. Wilk was employed by the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams, retiring 30 years ago. She also had worked at the former Berkshire Fine Spinning Associates. She was a communicant of the Parishes of Notre Dame-St. Thomas and was a member of its Ladies of St. Anne. She enjoyed crocheting and crafts. Her husband, Theodore J. Wilk, whom she married Sept. 21, 1931, died July 27, 1992. She leaves a daughter, Sister Linda M. Wilk, SSJ, with whom she resided; two sons, Theodore F. Wilk of Fairfield, Pa., and Ronald H. Wilk of Poughkeepsie, N.Y.; a brother, Raymond Guerin of North Adams; three sisters, Marie Carnevale of Fort Myers, Fla., Jeannette LeBeau of Williamstown and Theresa Dapper of Adams; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Clara M. Wilk, who died July 3, 2004, will be held Wednesday, July 7, at 9 from AUGE-PACIOREK-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 in Notre Dame Church, by the Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, pastor of the Parishes of Notre Dame-St. Thomas and St. Stanislaus. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery. Calling hours will be tomorrow from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Sisters of St. Joseph through the funeral home. She was predeceased by three brothers, Isadore, Arsene and Victor Guerin, and three sisters, Matilda Giroux, Eva Richardson and Corrine Lepine. Her daughter, Sister Linda Wilk, is on the faculty of St. Agnes' School in Dalton.
