John R. Guachione

John R. Guachione, 42, of 688 Jacobs Ladder died Wednesday at Berkshire Medical Center after a short illness. Born in Pittsfield on May 13, 1962, son of Elaine LaGrant Matthew Guachione of Lee and the late John J. Guachione, he was a 1980 graduate of Lee High School, where he played football. He attended Westfield State College and El Cameno College in Escondido, Calif. He returned to the Berkshires in 1986. At the time of his death, Mr. Guachione was the owner of All Seasons Ground and Excavation Service in Becket. He was the former owner of the Becket Mine Market and the Becket Motel. He sponsored the All Seasons Ground Service basketball team in the Lee Youth League. He enjoyed bowling. Besides his mother, of Lee, he leaves a daughter, Gina T. Guachione of Lee; a brother, James J. Guachione of Tyringham, and his maternal grandmother, Gladys LaGrant of Lee. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for John R. Guachione will be Saturday at 9:15 from KELLY FUNERAL HOME in Lee, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Mary's Church. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery. Visiting hours will be today, Friday, from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, friends wishing may make memorial donations to the Lee Regional Visiting Nurse Association or to the Lee High School Grid Iron Club, both in care of the funeral home.
