Brad Michael Wnuk

Brad Michael Wnuk, 23, of 4 Pine St., died Thursday at Berkshire Medical Center as the result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on Old Cheshire Road in Lanesboro earlier in the day. Born in Pittsfield on March 8, 1981, son of William D. and Linda M. Lyden Wnuk, with whom he made his home, he was a longtime resident of Adams who attended local schools and graduated from Hoosac Valley High School in 2000. He also graduated from the Massachusetts Criminal Justice Training Council Basic Training Course for Reserve/Intermittent Police Officers in June 2003. At the time of his death, Mr. Wnuk was employed as a motorcycle technician at Ronnie's Cycle. He was a communicant of the Parish of Notre Dame and St. Thomas churches and was an active member of the Adams Forest Wardens and the Adams Snowdrifters. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, bicycle riding, snowboarding and off-roading. He enjoyed working on motorcycles and trucks. Besides his parents, he leaves two brothers, Robert W. Wnuk of Adams and Mark D. Wnuk, at home; a sister, Kim M. Michael of Fort Polk, La.; maternal grandmother, Marion A. McCulloch Lyden of Adams, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Funeral services will be held Monday, July 26, 2004, at 9, from the AUGE-PACIOREK-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, Adams. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Adams. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Sunday from 2 to 5. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in his memory be made to either the Adams Forest Wardens, Adams Ambulance Service or the Alert Hose Co., Adams, through the funeral home, 13 Hoosac St., Adams. Survivors include a brother-in-law, Robert N. Michael.
