Brian Davis, 29, of East Lyme, Conn., died Friday in his sleep. He was employed by Joe Wilkinson Excavating Co. in Great Barrington. Born in New London, Conn., on Sept. 19, 1974, son of Robert and Judith Appel Davis, he graduated from East Lyme High School, where he was a member of the baseball and football teams, and attended Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Conn. Mr. Davis volunteered at Options Institute, working with autistic children. Besides his parents, of East Lyme, he leaves, a son, Robert W. Davis, at home, and a sister, Barbara Pagano of East Lyme. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 11 at St. Agnes' Church, Haigh Avenue, Niantic. Interment will follow. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 7 to 9 at THOMAS L. NEILAN & SONS EAST LYME FUNERAL HOME, 48 Grand St., Niantic. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Robert W. Davis Education Fund to benefit the son of Brian and Melissa, c/o Fleet Bank, 25 Pennsylvania Ave., Niantic, CT 06357. He also leaves four uncles and aunts, and 11 cousins.
