Anne Euchler

Anne Euchler, 88, of Village at Fillmore Pond retirement community in Bennington, Vt., formerly of Adams, died Monday evening at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Ben-nington. Born in Edwardsville, Pa., on July 30, 1916, daughter of John and Rosalie Kirvelevich Gruzinskas, she attended schools there. She moved to New York City as a young woman, and lived in Queens until 1992, when she moved to Adams. She moved to Bennington last year. Mrs. Euchler worked as a dietitian at New York Hospital in New York City for many years, until leaving to raise a family. She was an active communicant of St. Mary, Gate of Heaven Church in Queens. While in Ad-ams, she was a communicant of the Parish of Notre Dame-St. Thomas. Her husband, Jack Euchler, whom she married Aug. 26, 1950, died Jan. 10, 1992. She leaves a son, John D. Euchler of Clarksburg; a daughter, Grace Anne Booth of Suffern, N.Y.; a brother, John Gruzinskas of Mississippi; a sister, Mary Stanaitas of Wilkes-Barre, Pa., and four grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Anne Euchler will be Thursday, Sept. 23, at 9:15 at AUGE-PACIOREK-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Adams, by the Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, pastor of the Parishes of Notre Dame-St. Thomas Aquinas and St. Stanislaus Kostka. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Queens, N.Y., on Friday, Sept. 24, at 1:30. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 5 to 7 at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to VNA & Hospice of Northern Berkshire through the funeral home. She also leaves four grandchildren, Eric and Kristin Euchler of Clarksburg, and Colin and Kiana Booth of Suffern, N.Y., and several nieces, nephew, grandnieces and grandnephews.
