Mary Ann Rusk

Mary Ann Rusk, 73, of New Lebanon, Ohio, died Thursday at home. She was the sister of Mark Humphrey of Lanesboro. She was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., on Feb. 25, 1931, daughter of Mark and Lucile Edwards Humphrey. Mrs. Rusk was employed as a fourth-grade teacher at Dixie Elementary School in New Lebanon. She was a member of the New Lebanon Brethren Church for 53 years, where she served as deacon and Sunday school teacher. Besides her brother, she leaves her husband of 54 years, Donald G. Rusk; a daughter, Deborah Quackenbush of Fort Wayne, Ind.; a son, Don Rusk of Lewisburg, Ohio; another brother, Robert Humphrey of New Lebanon, Ohio; two granddaughters; two step-granddaughters and two great-granddaughters. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Funeral services for Mary Ann Rusk will be Monday, Oct. 18, 2004, at 10 at the New Lebanon Brethren Church, 32 South Church St., New Lebanon, with Bill Walk, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Trissel Cemetery. Mary Ann's family will receive friends at the ROGERS FUNERAL HOME, 324 West Main St., New Lebanon, Ohio, Sunday from 2 to 5. Contributions if desired may be made to the New Lebanon Brethren Church or Hospice of Dayton in her memory. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day. II Timothy 4: 7-8.
