Hazel C. Hosier

Hazel C. Hosier, 77, of South Main Street died yesterday morning at Fairview Hospital. She had been a resident at Great Barrington Rehabilitation and Nursing Center since 1990. Born in Salisbury, Conn., on Aug. 31, 1927, daughter of Herbert and Sabina O'Hara Parsons, she was a graduate of Salisbury High School. Mrs. Hosier was a homemaker. Her husband, Ralph A. Hosier, whom she married Sept. 15, 1947, in Millerton, N.Y., died Oct. 6, 1998. She leaves two sons, Ralph Hosier of Housatonic and Stephen Hosier of Pittsfield; two daughters, Wanda Webber of Ipswich and Kim Graham of Pittsfield; two sisters, Katherine Hoag and Sabina Miller, both of Millerton; a brother, William Parsons of Newburg, N.Y., 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sons, Michael and Joseph Hosier. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Hazel Hosier will be Monday, Nov. 8, 2004, at 11 at the FINNERTY & STEVENS FUNERAL HOME in Great Barrington. There will be no calling hours. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sons, Michael and Joseph Hosier, along with her sisters, Margaret Card, Phoebe Oslin, Norma Surdam and Mary Parsons, and brothers, Howard, Norton, Robert and Herbert.
