Ann Elizabeth Finn

Ann Elizabeth Finn, 76, of 3 Town Farm Road, Westford, a native of Great Barrington, died Saturday at home. Born on Sept. 22, 1928, daughter of Herbert and Cecelia Ford Small, she graduated from the former Sheffield High School in 1946. She and her twin, Cecelia Kay, were the first babies in the nursery of Fairview Hospital. She and her husband, Joseph A. Finn, were married Aug. 7, 1948, at Our Lady of the Valley Church in Sheffield. Besides her husband and her twin, of Great Barrington, she leaves two sons, Michael J. Finn of South Bend, Ind., and Joseph G. Finn of Quincy; a daughter, Ann Finn Detlefs of Westford; another sister, Mary Ustico of Canaan, Conn., and 16 grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Ann Elizabeth Small Finn, who died Nov. 6, 2004, will be Wednesday, Nov. 10, at 9 at BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Valley Church concelebrated by the Rev. Brian Jordan, O.F.M., at 10. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery. Family will receive friends tomorrow, Nov. 7, from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy in Ann's memory may be made to the Mass. Housing and Shelter Alliance in care of the funeral home, 33 South St., Great Barrington, MA 01230. Her brother, James G. Small of Sheffield, passed away Sept. 12 of this year, and another brother, Lt. Herbert W. Small, a pilot in the U.S. Army Air Force, was shot down and killed over France on April 27, 1944.
