Wilma Theurer

Wilma Theurer, 77, of Hemlock Hill died Friday morning at home. Born in Union City, N.J., on Dec. 9, 1926, daughter of Thomas and Williamina Harvey Stirrat, she attended schools there. She resided in Northvale, N.J., until moving to Great Barrington four years ago. Mrs. Theurer was employed for 25 years by Nabisco in New Jersey, retiring as a floor manager in 1989. She attended First Congregational Church, and helped with her daughter Diane Homeyer's child-care business. Besides her daughter, with whom she resided, she leaves a sister, Anne Heilmann of Fort Myers, Fla., and seven grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Charles T. Theurer Sr. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Mrs. Wilma "Nana" Theurer, who died Nov. 5, 2004, will be conducted Tuesday at 11 at First Congregational Church, Great Barrington, by the Rev. Charles VanAusdall. The family will receive friends tomorrow, Nov. 8, from 4 to 7 at FINNERTY & STEVENS FUNERAL HOME. Wilma cherished the time spent with her family. She is survived by her daughter, Diane Homeyer and her husband, Brian; a sister, Mrs. Anne Heilmann of Fort Myers, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Brian, Jeffrey and Katelyn Homeyer, Kristin H. Sanzone and her husband Rob, Charles T. Jr., Janine and Jaclyn Theurer, and a daughter-in-law, Linda Falso. She also leaves her little guy Spitzy. She was predeceased by her son, Charles T. Theurer Sr., and sisters Elizabeth Heilmann and Jean Hirshfield.
