Nellie Mary Tash

Nellie Mary Tash, 99, of 27 Wall St. died Monday at North Adams Commons. Born in Fort Kent, Maine, on Oct. 11, 1905, daughter of Keenan and Rose Doerh Hobert, she attended schools there. Mrs. Tash was employed at the former Sprague Electric Co. for many years. She was a longtime communicant of St. Francis' Church and a member of its Rosary Society. She leaves two daughters, Juliette M. Tash of North Adams, with whom she had resided, and Jeannette Lesage of North Adams; a son, Karem John Tash of North Adams, with whom she also had resided; three sisters, Anne Hobert and Cecilia Hobert, both of West Hartford, Conn., and Amelia Hobert of Littleton, N.H.; five grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two daughters, Mae LeSage, on March 8, 1993, and Amelia Lewis, on Oct. 21,1994. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Nellie Mary Hobert Tash, who died Nov. 8, 2004, will be Thursday at 8:15 at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9 at St. Francis of Assisi Church. Burial will follow in the family plot in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours will be today from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested to St. Francis' Church through the funeral home. Survivors include five grandchildren, Wayne LeSage, Jane LeSage Barry, Thomas LeSage, Kelly Lesage and Karen Kirwan, and 13 grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sisters, Julia and Fanny Hobert, and two brothers, Ned and Daniel Hobert.
