Bruce E. McGrath

Bruce E. McGrath, 63, of Pembroke, formerly of Adams, died Saturday at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth after being stricken at home. Born in Adams on June 10, 1941, son of John and Florida Davis McGrath, he was a 1959 graduate of the former Adams Memorial High School. He lived in Groton, Conn., and Rockland before moving to Pembroke in 1965. At the time of his death, Mr. McGrath had been employed for the past six weeks by GEO Systems in Natick. While in Groton, he worked as a heating and air conditioning designer for the former General Dynamics plant there and the former Quincy Shipyard. Later, he was employed by BCH Electronics as a designer for 16 years. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and a member of the Harley-Davidson Dresser and Touring Association. He leaves his wife, the former Dorothy M. Banas; two daughters, Susan A. Glenn of Nashua, N.H., and Brenda J. Callahan of Manomet, and three grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A funeral Mass for Bruce E. McGrath, who died Nov. 20, 2004, will be celebrated Saturday, Nov. 27, at 9 in St. Thecla's Church, 145 Washington St., Route 53, in North Pembroke. Interment will be in Pembroke Center Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Friday from 4 to 8 at the funeral home. Arrangements are by SULLIVAN FUNERAL HOME, 551 Washington St., Route 53, Hanover.
