Odo Ploner

Odo Ploner, 69, of Brookman Drive, East Otis, died Friday at Parkview Specialty Hospital in Springfield. Born in Itter Tyrol, Austria, on Feb. 25, 1935, son of Josef and Anna Ploner, he was educated in Europe and came to the Berkshires in 1968. Mr. Ploner was employed as a tool and die maker for the former Lambert-Kay division of Carter-Wallace Inc. in Winsted, Conn. He leaves his wife of more than 20 years , the former Linda Taylor, and two brothers, Dietmar Ploner and Josef Ploner, both of Itter Tyrol. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Odo Ploner, who died Dec. 3, 2004, will be private, and burial will be at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. DICKINSON-STREETER FUNERAL HOME of Springfield is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Baystate Medical Center, Oncology Unit, 759 Chestnut St., Springfield MA 01099 or to Parkview Specialty Hospital, Unit 4, 1400 State St., Springfield MA 01109.
