Helen Kozik

Helen Kozik, 82, formerly of 15 Richmond St., died Friday afternoon at Sweet Brook Care Centers in Williamstown. Born in North Adams on April 16, 1922, daughter of John and Julia Golebiowski Krytson, she was a 1940 graduate of the former St. Joseph's High School there. After graduation, Mrs. Kozik moved to Washington, D.C., where she worked as a secretary for the government. She retired from the former Arnold Print Works, where she had worked for several years. She also worked for the former Shapiro Chevrolet and for Hunter Machine. She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus' Church and a member of its Rosary Sodality, and a member of the Adams Senior Citizens. Her husband, Stanley C. Kozik, whom she married April 16, 1945, died July 13, 1992. She leaves several cousins. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Helen Kozik will be Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2004, at 9 from TROTTIER-PRINGLE FUNERAL HOME, 6 Summer St., Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church celebrated by the Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, pastor of the Parishes of Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs, St. Thomas Aquinas and St. Stanislaus Kostka. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery. Calling hours will be tomorrow, Dec. 13, from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to St. Stanislaus' Church through the funeral home. She leaves several cousins, including Mary Michalenko, Mildred Hanke and Joseph and Janice Hayer.
