Florence Skorupski

Florence Skorupski, 79, formerly of 4 Garfield Ave., died Monday at Heritage Hall in Agawam, where she had resided for three years. Born in Adams on May 9, 1925, daughter of Andrew F. and Anna K. Wojcik Bulsa, she graduated from the former Adams High School. Mrs. Skorupski was employed for many years as a salesclerk at the former Elaine's Specialty Shop. She also worked for several years at the former Waverly Fabrics. She was a communicant of the Parish of Notre Dame-St. Thomas, and was a former member of its choir. Her husband, Chester W. Skorupski, whom she married June 26, 1948, died Dec. 17, 2000. She leaves a son, Edward Skorupski of Stillwater, N.Y.; two daughters, Diane Jacobson of Tolland, Conn., and Maryann Chartier of Gray, Ga.; a brother, Andrew Bulsa of Hudson, N.H.; a sister, Frances Bulsa of Adams, and a granddaughter. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Florence Skorupski, who died Dec. 13, 2004, will be Thursday, Dec. 16, at 9 from AUGE-PACIOREK-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 in St. Thomas Aquinas Church by the Rev. Daniel J. O'Hear, pastor of St. Anthony of Padua Church, North Adams. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. There will be no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or to the Heritage Hall North Patient Activities Fund through the funeral home. She also leaves her granddaughter, Lucie Jacobson of Tolland, Conn.
