Lynn Francis Barschdorf, 62, of 79 Bellevue Ave., died Friday evening at North Adams Regional Hospital, shortly after being admitted. Born in Adams on March 30, 1942, son of Eunice M. Vuillemot Barschdorf of Adams and the late Robert L. Barschdorf, he graduated from the former Adams High School in 1960 and from West Virginia Wesleyan College in 1964. Mr. Barschdorf was a teaching assistant at Conte Middle School in North Adams for 10 years, retiring in June. He first worked as a special-needs teacher in Middletown, Conn., for several years, and later in Springfield, Vt. He was an avid fisherman, reader and sports fan. Besides his mother, with whom he resided, he leaves a sister, Linda M. Tatro of Williamstown. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Private services for Mr. Lynn Francis Barschdorf, who died Dec. 24, 2004, will be held at Auge-Paciorek-Simmons Funeral Home, 13 Hoosac St., Adams. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. There will be no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made to the Adams Ambulance Service or to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation through the funeral home. He also leaves his brother-in-law, David Tatro, and two nephews, Marc Krutiak of Boston and Jason Krutiak of Orlando, Fla.
