Thomas A. Luczynski

Thomas A. Luczynski, 78, of 5465 Chapel Road, North Madison, Ohio, a native of North Adams, died Thursday at the home of his son, retired Army Gen. Thomas P. Luczynski of 11838 Lockage Road in Canal Fulton, Ohio. Born on Dec. 20, 1926, son of Thomas and Antonia Barlik Luczynski, he attended local schools. He moved to North Madison in 1970. A Navy veteran of World War II, he served as a seaman second class. Mr. Luczynski retired from the Lake County (Ohio) Road Department. Before that, he was employed for 30 years as a long-distance truck driver. Besides his son, he leaves another son, James C. Luczynski of Wesley Chapel, Fla.; two sisters, Bernice Isenhart of Pittsfield and Edna Michalski of Easthampton, and four grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Thomas A. Luczynski, who died Dec. 30, 2004, will be Thursday at 10:15 at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 at St. Francis of Assisi Church, North Adams. Burial with military honors will follow in Southview Cemetery, North Adams. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Wednesday from 4 to 7. He was predeceased by two brothers, Edward W. Luczynski on Aug. 3, 1981, and Dr. Walter T. Luczynski on June 21, 2001, and a sister, Genevieve V. Gorczakoski on May 1,1991. Survivors also include nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews.
