Evelyn Margaret Senecal

Evelyn Margaret Senecal, 75, of 360 Eagle St., died Thursday at the Berkshire Medical Center. Born in North Adams on April 20, 1929, daughter of Stephen and Mary Piech Danylowitz, she attended schools in North Adams and graduated from Drury High School in 1946 and also graduated from the former Bliss Business College in North Adams. Mrs. Senecal was employed at the A. Mativi Co. in North Adams and later moved to Burlington, Vt., where she was employed at the Howard National Bank. After returning to North Adams, she was a homemaker and worked at the former Highcroft Private School in Williamstown and was last employed at the Climax Candy & Paper Co. in North Adams. She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church and St. Anthony of Padua Church in North Adams and was a former member of the St. Francis Rosary Society. She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening, flowers, cooking, sewing and spending time with her family. She and her husband, William S. Senecal, were married Aug. 25, 1951, in St. Francis of Assisi Church. Besides her husband, she leaves three daughters, Patricia Wiater of Voorheesville, N.Y., Maryanne Senecal of Wethersfield, Conn., and Jane Pezzulo of Salem; three sons, Peter J. Senecal and Paul T. Senecal, both of North Adams, and David W. Senecal of Revere; two sisters, Elaine Ogonik of West Medford and Patricia Perreault of Mansfields, Conn.; a brother, Clemens Danylowitz of North Adams and nine grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Funeral services for Evelyn Margaret Danylowitz Senecal will take place Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. at the FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St. North Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Anthony of Padua Church, North Adams. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery, North Adams. Calling hours at the funeral home are Tuesday from 5 to 8. Flowers may be sent or memorial donations are suggested for the Eileen Barrett Foundation through the funeral home. Survivors include nine grandchildren, Michael Wiater, Erin Wiater, Stephen Senecal, Ryan Senecal, Kara Senecal, Alissa Senecal, John Pezzulo, Sarah Pezzulo and Brianna Senecal.
