Pauline Sibley Coller

Pauline Sibley Coller, 101, of East Street died Wednesday at Fairview Commons Nursing Home in Great Barrington after a long illness. Born in Springfield on June 1, 1903, daughter of Patrick and Mary Shea O'Connell, she was educated there. A homemaker, Mrs. Coller briefly worked as a model in the French Room of the former Franklin Simmons store on Fifth Avenue in New York City. She enjoyed taking care of her roses. She and her first husband, Raymond Sibley, were married in New York. They moved to Keene, N.H. She and her husband, Robert Coller, moved to the Berkshires in the early 1950s. He died in 1973. She leaves a daughter, Jane Sibley Hart of Stockbridge; three grandchildren, and two great-grandsons. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Pauline Coller, who died Jan. 5, 2005, will be celebrated Friday, Jan. 14, at 11 at St. Joseph's Church in Stockbridge by the Rev. Steven McGuigan. Burial will be private. There will be no calling hours. Primarily a homemaker, Pauline loved her family, her little red house in Stockbridge, taking care of her roses and spending happy times with her grandchildren. She is also survived by three grandchildren, John Hart of Stockbridge, and Lee Hart Netterstrom and Stephen Hart, both of Boulder, Colo., along with two great-grandsons, Patrick and Ryan Hart of Stockbridge.
