Mary C. Skalski

Mary C. Skalski, 77, of 16 Turners Avenue died early yesterday morning at her home following a short illness. Born in North Adams on Feb. 20, 1927, daughter of Vincent and Josephine Naso Rotolo, she attended schools there. Mrs. Skalski worked as a secretary at the North Adams Police Department for 15 years, retiring 15 years ago. She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus' Church. Her husband, Emil A. Skalski, whom she married on April 29, 1961, in St. Anthony's Church in North Adams, died Oct. 20, 1982. She leaves two daughters, Susan Murphy of Acton and Julie Noel of Adams; a son, Steven Skalski of San Diego; two sisters, Nancy Whalen of Adams and Theresa Racette of North Adams, and four grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Mary Skalski will be held Saturday, Jan. 15, at 12:30 from the AUGE-PACIOREK-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 1:30 in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, celebrated by the Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, pastor of the Parishes of St. Stanislaus Kostka and Notre Dame & St. Thomas Aquinas. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery. Calling hours will be today, Friday, from 5 to 7 at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Adams Ambulance Service through the funeral home.
