Marilyn D. Gaskill

Marilyn D. Gaskill, 68, of Hancock Road died Jan. 6 at Farren Care Nursing Facility in Turner Falls. Born in Andover on Nov. 22, 1936, daughter of Sumner and Mildred Prior Davis, she graduated from Punchard High School and attended Tufts University in Medford. Mrs. Gaskill was a homemaker until 1972, when she became employed as a service writer in the auto business. In 1979, she joined the Internal Revenue Service in Andover, where she worked for 20 years. She formerly attended Hancock Baptist Church and was a former member of the Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed reading and cats. She leaves her former husband, Robert Gaskill of Hancock; a son, Mark A. Gaskill of Hancock; a daughter, Deborah J. Hiltz of Wynantskill, N.Y.; two sisters, Carol Antanovich of Andover and Joyce Regan of North Andover; a brother, Sumner Davis, and three grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Marilyn D. Gaskill will be Jan. 29 at 3 at HALL & HIGGINS FUNERAL HOME, 453 NY 43, Stephentown, N.Y. Friends may call prior to the service from 1 to 3. A reception will follow in Fellowship Hall of Hancock Baptist Church on Main Street in Hancock. Cremation will take place in Gardner Earl Crematorium, Troy, N.Y. Spring inurnment will be in Hancock Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hancock Baptist Church Memorial Fund in memory of Marilyn D. Gaskill. She loved seeing her grandchildren when she could. Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Maynard-Gaskill, and a son-in-law, Martin Hiltz.
