Daniel James Rose

Daniel James Rose, 44, of 87 Chenaille Terrace died yesterday morning at home. Born in Nova Scotia on Oct. 28, 1960, son of Wilfred P. and Suzanne J. Winslow Rose, he attended schools in North Adams, including Drury High School, where he was a member of the band. He later received his general equivalency diploma. He served in the Coast Guard. Mr. Rose was employed with his father in the operation of West-End Auto Body for more than 20 years. In his younger years, he was a communicant of the former Incarnation Church, where he was an altar boy. He also was a member of the Boy Scouts, attaining the rank of Life. He was a member of the Massachusetts Towing Association and enjoyed hiking, bicycle riding and music. He and his wife, the former Linda M. LePage, were married July 17, 1982. Besides his wife and parents, of North Adams, he leaves three daughters, Kristie J. Peck of New York City, and Jennifer M. Rose and Kimberly A. Rose, both of North Adams; a brother, Stephen M. Rose of Malden; a sister, Kathleen A. Rose of Brookline, and his maternal grandparents, Alvin H. and Elizabeth I. Kearns Sears of North Adams. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Daniel James Rose, 44, will be conducted Thursday, Feb. 17, at 11 at First Baptist Church in North Adams by the Rev. Joseph DeCosta and David Anderson, director of Christian education. Burial will be in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, will be Wednesday from 4 to 7. Donations to charity of donor's choice in care of the funeral home. Survivors include a son-in-law, Richard Peck; a sister-in-law, Anne Rose, and nieces and nephews.
