Mary Rouhier

Mary Rouhier, 96, formerly of Chestnut Ridge, Housatonic, died yesterday at Fairview Commons. Born in Housatonic on July 19, 1908, daughter of Dennis and Melanie Ley Rollinger, she graduated in 1926 from the former Searles High School. Mrs. Rouhier was employed as a bookkeeper by the former Homegas Corp., retiring in 1973. She also had worked for Leo Nash Inc. in Pittsfield. Her husband, Albert Rouhier, died Aug. 29, 1988. She leaves a stepdaughter, Delores Pieropan of West Stockbridge, and her caregivers, the Rev. Anthony Jutt and Nancy O'Grady, both of Housatonic. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mary Rouhier, who died Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2005, will be conducted Saturday, Feb. 19, at 10 at Corpus Christi Church, Housatonic, by the Rev. Anthony Jutt, pastor. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Housatonic. Family will receive friends Saturday from 9 to 9:30 at BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Mary's memory may be made to the Corpus Christi Building Fund in care of the funeral home, 33 South St., Great Barrington, MA 01230.
