Gladys Josephine Trzcinski

Gladys Josephine Trzcinski, 85, of 45 Highland St., West Hartford, Conn., a native of Adams, died Friday morning at Hughes Health and Rehabilitation Center in West Hartford after a brief illness. Born Nov. 8, 1919, daughter of Szymon and Tekla Malek Mikuszewski, she attended local schools, including St. Stanislaus' School. She had lived in the Hartford area for 55 years. Mrs. Trzcinski was employed by Pratt & Whitney for many years, retiring 25 years ago. She briefly worked at the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams. She was a communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Hartford, Conn. While in Adams, she was a communicant of St. Stanislaus' Church. Her husband, Stanley J. Trzcinski, whom she married May 17, 1947, died Sept. 13, 1990. She leaves a sister, Celia Elliot of Rutland, Vt. FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Gladys J. Trzcinski, who died March 4, 2005, will be Tuesday, March 8, at 10 from AUGE-PACIOREK-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St. Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:30 in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday morning from 9 to 10 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Stanislaus Scholarship Fund or to the West Hartford VNA Hospice through the funeral home. She was predeceased by three brothers, Walter, Joseph and John Mikuszewski.
