J. Thomas "Pickles" Shalley

J. Thomas "Pickles" Shalley, 62, of 155 Marble St. died Tuesday at home. Born in Pittsfield on Feb. 8, 1943, son of Arthur and Margaret Driscoll Shalley, he attended St. Mary's School and Lee Central School and graduated from Lee High School. He served with the Coast Guard in the 1960s. Mr. Shalley was employed as a painter with Robert DuPont of Lee for many years, then by Iemolini Painting of Stockbridge since 2001. He leaves two sisters, Mary E. Nicholls of Lee and Clara Trager of Port Charlotte, Fla. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A graveside service for J. Thomas Shalley, who died March 8, 2005, will be held Tuesday, March 15, at 1:30 at St. Mary's Cemetery in Lee. There will be no visiting hours. Friends wishing may make donations to a fund to be established in care of KELLY FUNERAL HOME, 3 Main St., Lee, MA 01238. He leaves his nephew, Thomas Trager Jr., and his nieces, Janey Longerato, Ann VanZandt, Carol Nicholls and Missy Derby.
