Angelo P. DiGrigoli

Angelo P. DiGrigoli, 82, of 194 Center St. died yesterday at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield. He was Born in Rochester, N.Y., on July 8, 1922, son of Carmello and Josephine Termini DiGrigoli. His family moved to Lee in 1923. Mr. DiGrigoli was a 1941 graduate of Lee High School. He served with the Army Air Forces during World War II from 1942 until 1946. Mr. DiGrigoli had been employed by GE, retiring in 1984. He also operated Angelo's Barber Shop on Center Street for many years. He was a communicant of St. Mary's Church. He was a member of the Italian Fraternal Society. He and his wife, the former Susie D. Pizzuto, were married June 22, 1946. Besides his wife, he leaves three sons, Stephen A. DiGrigoli of Malden, Paul J. DiGrigoli of Holyoke and Robert J. DiGrigoli of Marshfield; a daughter, Sandra J. Scarafoni of Lee; two brothers, Carmello B. DiGrigoli and Louis J. DiGrigoli, both of Lee; four sisters, Rose Ballato of Dalton, Theresa Corbitt of Sarasota, Fla., and Patricia Belba and Kathleen Hall, both of Lee, and eight grandchildren. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Angelo leaves his beloved grandchildren Curt, Angela, Marcus, Kristie, Joey, Matty, Tommy and Dinnea. He was predeceased by his grandson, James DiGrigoli, in 1982. The funeral will be Monday, March 13, at 10:15 from the KELLY FUNERAL HOME in Lee with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 at St. Mary's Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Sunday from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. At the family's request, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Angelo P. DiGrigoli Scholarship Fund at Lee High School in care of the funeral home.
