Charlotte E. Weeks

Charlotte E. Weeks, 81, of Quarry Street, formerly of Church Street, died Friday evening at home. Born in Southbridge on Dec. 29, 1923, daughter of Phillip B. and Esther G. Pierce Case, she was a graduate of Commerce High School in Worcester. She then moved to Great Barrington. A homemaker, Mrs. Weeks had worked at the former Louise's Beauty Shop before her marriage. She was a member of First Congregational Church. She was a volunteer in the Fairview Hospital gift shop for many years. She enjoyed gardening, knitting and doing crafts. Her husband, Kenneth E. Weeks, whom she married Oct. 25, 1945, in Worcester, died July 31, 1999. She leaves a son, Philip B. Weeks of Santee, Calif.; two daughters, Kathie Thomas of Great Barrington and Gail A. Weeks of Fredericksburg, Va., and a sister, Helen Ridley of Rutland. FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Charlotte E. Weeks will be conducted Wednesday, March 30, 2005, at noon at FINNERTY & STEVENS FUNERAL HOME in Great Barrington, by the Rev. Chet Howes, pastor of Sheffield Chapel, Great Barrington. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 11 until the time of the service at the funeral home. She also leaves her son-in-law, David Thomas of Great Barrington. She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth E. Weeks, on July 31, 1999; her brother, Charles Herbert Case, during World War II, and her sister, Nancy Cameron, in 1997.
